AND so I pick up the pen again. Christmas approaches, and yet I am not in an overtly festive manner. I may now have a qualification to teach English as a Foreign Language - Professor Beer?, but I am in a general 'I'm-pissing-my-life-away' mood as of late.

Plus side:

Qualification

Met bunch of new people out in Seville, good folk

Did a **** load of beer and tapas out there

Minuses:

Back at ******* ASDA (but they will be paying me something in the region of £600-650 next week)

ENOUGH sob story. The rest may be revealed later. For now though, I think pasta for lunch, a couple of Carlsbergs, a little guitar, some film...

I GOT an A - in the grammar exam. How this came about fits the adage rather appropriately 'beggars belief'...

So, got to phone the folks at some point soon. Somehow got to get through the next few days. Have done so so far on a **** all work policy. Next 148 hours will decide. newrnvkenvkefnbjwehvbfn jklhgiowernvkfjlengurihgnverjkln ioqrenfgeklrjg.......

The beer is good out here. Cruzcampo a major influence in my life at the moment. How it will help when I (pass) the course, and most likely do so on my **** all work policy..? Just got to hoodwink the moderator. Difficult. Tricky. Well, there it is...

Beer tonight. Beer is good. It makes one forget how much work I should have done for today. Unless (as I'm increasingly beginning to suspect) I'm being given pass marks for stuff for the following reasons:

1. So the school can maintain an all-pass policy

2. So I can continue reviewing / observing lessons and thus give the worthier students better evaluatory stuff / statistics / informatory stuff...

3. Or I'm bull-*******.

No, it's 1 & 2.

AND so I pick up the pen after what has been 5 months of doing **** ****** all. However, off to Espana on Sunday, to do my course to enable me to teach English as a Foreign Language, get out of this place, get away from the retards at work...

...Yet another one joins the world of blog (read: time consuming and wasting, frequent trips to the local newsagent on Saturday mornings after a night's debauchery beforehand). Check out what's hap'nin' at this site...

Does anyone remember that band Shack? I only ever got one album of theirs, and that was after I'd heard a track on a Q best of CD. However, found a tape I'd made years back a couple of days ago, only to find I'd put about 4 Shack tracks on it. Natalie's Party is the most well-known one, but Streets of Kenny is good as well.

ALSO saw a new film yesterday. Not new chronologically speaking I should say, but certainly new to me in the artistically appreciative sense. 10 Things I Hate About You. Nay a bad film. I've seen other modern day tellings of Shakespeare, and, whilst Branagh's 30's style setting of Twelfth Night is, best, forgotten, this certainly surpassed that. Plus, I'm generally inclined to watch American teen-style stuff for the obvious sex thrills (say no more), this did a little more than just that. Still, Julia Stiles is a fine lookin' woman...

...Of course, it's only now I realise that she's the woman in the Bourne films...

NOT much to say today. Have done **** all, apart from playing some guitar and watching the same film about a million times over. Only got dressed about an hour and a half ago.

I'm putting my playing in the service of God. It's worthwhile, not least because I get to play alongside other musicians, something which doesn't always happen if you play pentatonic riffs etc. over blues songs you hear on your laptop. AND, the priest is a ****** good player, despite the fact that he is forcing me into doing finger-picking, something I have not yet tried out.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKY B!!! 22 this year. Can't quite believe it.

Here's pause for thought. Who will be in the house next year? The Shipwright, 'We Germans', some introvert hippie teetotaller guy, another guy or someone else? The Catholics are all sorted out though.

Don't forget to check out the new blog

Melchizedek made a really good film (on his camera: just 2 minutes long) of me playing Hi Ho Silver Lining, and him putting harmonica (and lyrics) over the top. I think it was when he sang about helping people off with their clothes that things really hit 'the high note' (OH MY GOD)...

Also check out this site. This is time-wasting by any other name. I should also mention that I've got a 2nd blog up and running, "Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc". More ranting about films and music. No drinking or women though.
